3.3.4In certain cases, iGLink Canada may refer Customers to a third-party platform through an affiliate/referral arrangement. 8.3The Customer may request to cancel an order before the goods are handed over to the Carrier Partner, or before a money transfer transaction is processed. Where payment has already been made, any refund will be issued in accordance with iGLink Canada's then-current cancellation/refund policy; any service fees already incurred at the time of cancellation may not be refunded.

Article 9. INSURANCE & COMPENSATION

9.1  Standard Insurance

9.1.1All Shipping and Domestic Express orders are covered by Standard Insurance, which is included in the service charge at no additional cost.

9.1.2The standard compensation amount is calculated at CAD $20 per pound (lb), based on the actual weight of the lost or damaged package, subject to a maximum of CAD $300 per order — whichever amount is lower shall apply.

Illustrative example: A 10 lb package that is lost → 20 × 10 = CAD $200 (below the CAD $300 cap) → CAD $200 is paid. A 25 lb package that is lost → 20 × 25 = CAD $500 (exceeds the cap) → the CAD $300 cap applies.

9.2  Optional Insurance

9.2.1A Customer who wishes to insure their goods for an amount greater than the Standard Insurance coverage may purchase Optional Insurance at the time the order is created.

9.2.2The premium for Optional Insurance is 4.5% of the declared value of the goods.

9.2.3Where Optional Insurance has been purchased, the maximum compensation payable (for loss or damage falling within iGLink Canada's responsibility) is the declared value registered at the time of purchase, rather than the formula set out in Section 9.1.2.

9.3  Insurance exclusions

Standard Insurance and Optional Insurance do not apply to:

  • Goods on the prohibited/restricted list under Article 5;
  • Cash, gold, precious stones, negotiable instruments, antiques, or fine art of special value;
  • Damage caused by inadequate packaging, or by the fragile nature of goods that were not adequately protected;
  • Losses arising from an inaccurate or incomplete declaration of value;
  • Delivery delays not accompanied by physical loss or damage, unless otherwise agreed in writing;
  • Losses arising from a Force Majeure event under Article 14.

9.4  Claims process

The Customer must submit a compensation claim within 15 business days of successful delivery (in the case of damage) or of the final expected delivery date shown in the tracking system (in the case of loss), together with: the order number, photographs of the exterior and interior condition of the package (in the case of damage), and documentation supporting the value of the goods. iGLink Canada will verify the claim and respond within a reasonable time.

9.5  Money Transfer Service

Any compensation (if applicable) for an issue arising from a money transfer transaction is governed by the policies of the relevant Money Transfer Partner (RIA Money Transfer, EzyRemit, or another partner), and is not covered by this Article.

Article 10. DELIVERY TIMES & DISCLAIMER REGARDING TIME

10.1Delivery times published on the website (for example: 7–10 business days for Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi and 10–14 business days for other provinces — counted from the date goods arrive at iGLink Canada's Toronto and Vancouver warehouses, which are consolidated weekly on Thursdays — for the Shipping service; and 1–5 business days depending on the Carrier Partner for the Domestic Express service) are estimates only and do not constitute an absolute commitment.

14.2Upon the occurrence of a Force Majeure event, iGLink Canada will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably possible and will take reasonable steps to mitigate its impact; however, iGLink Canada shall not be liable for compensation for any delay or service disruption directly resulting from that event.
